Content / Composition:
Each tablet contains:
* Doxylamine Succinate …… 10 mg
* Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6) …… 10 mg
* Folic Acid …… 2.5 mg
Indications:
Indicated for the management of nausea and vomiting in pregnancy, including:
* Nausea and vomiting of pregnancy (NVP)
* Morning sickness
* Prevention of pregnancy-related nutritional deficiency (Folic Acid support)
* Adjunct therapy in hyperemesis gravidarum (under medical supervision)
Dosage:
As directed by the physician.
Typical regimen:
* Initial: 1–2 tablets at bedtime
* If symptoms persist: additional dose in the morning
* Maximum: as prescribed by physician
Contraindications:
* Hypersensitivity to doxylamine, pyridoxine, or any component
* Concurrent use with MAO inhibitors
* Severe hepatic impairment
* Narrow-angle glaucoma
* Prostatic hypertrophy with urinary retention
Administration:
For oral use.
Take preferably on an empty stomach or as directed.
Swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew (if modified-release).
Interaction:
Use caution with:
* CNS depressants (alcohol, sedatives, benzodiazepines)
* Anticholinergic drugs
* MAO inhibitors
* Other antihistamines
Compatibility:
Compatible with prenatal supplementation regimens.
May be safely combined with iron and calcium supplements under supervision.
Stability / Storage:
Store below 25°C.
Protect from light and moisture.
Keep out of reach of children.
Precautions:
* May cause drowsiness – avoid driving or operating machinery
* Use cautiously in asthma or respiratory conditions
* Monitor in patients with liver impairment
* Use only under medical supervision during pregnancy
* Evaluate severe or persistent vomiting clinically
