Content / Composition:
Each delayed-release capsule contains:
* Pantoprazole Sodium …… equivalent to Pantoprazole 40 mg
* Enteric-coated granules
* Excipients …… q.s.
Indications:
* Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)
* Acid reflux & heartburn
* Peptic ulcer disease (gastric & duodenal)
* Zollinger–Ellison syndrome
* NSAID-induced ulcers
* H. pylori eradication (in combination therapy)
Dosage:
As directed by the physician
Adults:
* 40 mg once daily (before meal)
* In severe cases: 40 mg twice daily
H. pylori therapy:
* In combination with antibiotics (as per protocol)
Contraindications:
* Hypersensitivity to pantoprazole or PPIs
* Concurrent use with drugs highly dependent on gastric pH (with caution)
Administration:
* Oral use
* Take before meals (preferably morning)
* Swallow whole (do not crush or chew)
Interaction:
Pantoprazole may affect absorption of:
* Ketoconazole / antifungals
* Atazanavir (antiretroviral)
* Iron supplements
Also interacts with:
* Warfarin (monitor INR)
* Methotrexate (high dose caution)
Compatibility:
* Compatible with antibiotics in H. pylori therapy
* Can be used with antacids (short-term)

Vitamin B12 deficiency
