Content / Composition:
Each delayed-release capsule contains:
* Omeprazole …… 20 mg or 40 mg
* Enteric-coated granules
* Excipients …… q.s.
Indications:
* Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)
* Heartburn & acid reflux
* Gastric & duodenal ulcers
* Zollinger–Ellison syndrome
* NSAID-induced ulcers
* H. pylori eradication (in combination therapy)
Dosage:
As directed by the physician
Adults:
* 20 mg once daily (mild to moderate cases)
* 40 mg once daily (severe cases)
H. pylori therapy:
* In combination with antibiotics as per standard regimen
Contraindications:
* Hypersensitivity to omeprazole or other PPIs
* Caution in severe liver disease
Administration:
* Oral use
* Take before meals (preferably morning)
* Swallow whole (do not crush or chew)
Interaction:
May interact with:
* Clopidogrel (reduced effectiveness)
* Warfarin (monitor INR)
* Diazepam
* Phenytoin
Also reduces absorption of:
* Ketoconazole
* Iron salts
Compatibility:
* Compatible with antibiotics (H. pylori regimen)
* Can be used with antacids (short-term)

Vitamin B12 deficiency
Magnesium deficiency
* Increased risk of bone fractures (chronic use)
