Each 5 mL suspension contains:
* Aluminium Hydroxide …… 200–250 mg
* Magnesium Hydroxide …… 200 mg
* Simethicone …… 20–50 mg
* Flavoured base (Anise)
* Excipients …… q.s.
Indications:
* Hyperacidity
* Heartburn (GERD symptoms)
* Gastritis
* Indigestion (dyspepsia)
* Peptic ulcer supportive therapy
* Bloating & gas discomfort
Dosage:
As directed by the physician
Adults:
* 5–10 mL after meals and at bedtime
Children:
* As prescribed by physician
Contraindications:
* Severe renal impairment
* Hypersensitivity to any component
* Hypophosphatemia
Administration:
* Oral use
* Shake well before use
* Take after meals or when symptoms occur
* Do not take simultaneously with other medicines (2-hour gap recommended)
Interaction:
* Reduces absorption of:
– Antibiotics (tetracyclines, quinolones)
– Iron supplements
– Thyroxine
* Separate administration by at least 2 hours
Compatibility:
* Compatible with most GI medications
* Avoid concurrent use with acid-dependent drugs without spacing
Stability / Storage:
* Store below 25°C
* Do not freeze
* Keep tightly closed
* Protect from light
Precautions:
* Long-term use may cause electrolyte imbalance
* Use cautiously in renal impairment
* Aluminium may cause constipation
* Magnesium may cause diarrhea
* Monitor in elderly patients
