Content / Composition:
Each 5 mL contains:
* Cetirizine HCl …… 5 mg
* Flavored syrup (Banana)
* Excipients …… q.s.
Indications:
* Allergic rhinitis (seasonal & perennial)
* Sneezing, runny nose, nasal itching
* Allergic conjunctivitis (itchy, watery eyes)
* Chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives)
* Skin allergies and itching
Dosage:
As directed by the physician
Children:
* 2–5 years: 2.5 mg once daily
* 6–12 years: 5–10 mg daily
Adults:
* 10 mg once daily
Contraindications:
* Hypersensitivity to cetirizine or hydroxyzine
* Severe renal impairment (dose adjustment required)
Administration:
* Oral use
* Can be taken with or without food
* Measure with calibrated spoon/cup
* Preferably taken in the evening (if drowsiness occurs)
Interaction:
* Alcohol → may increase sedation
* CNS depressants → enhanced drowsiness
* Theophylline → may reduce clearance
