Indications:
DAIBET-G2 is indicated for:
Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
Improvement of glycemic control when diet and exercise alone are insufficient
Can be used as monotherapy or in combination with metformin or insulin
Dosage:
Initial dose: 1–2 mg once daily
Maintenance dose: 1–4 mg once daily
Maximum dose: 8 mg/day
Dose should be individualized based on blood glucose levels
As directed by the physician
Contraindications:
Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus
Diabetic ketoacidosis
Severe renal or hepatic impairment
Hypersensitivity to glimepiride or sulfonylureas
Pregnancy and lactation
Administration:
Administer orally once daily
Take with breakfast or first main meal
Swallow whole with water
Avoid skipping meals to prevent hypoglycemia
Drug Interactions:
Increased hypoglycemic effect with insulin, metformin, NSAIDs, and certain antibiotics
Reduced effect with corticosteroids, diuretics, and oral contraceptives
Alcohol may increase risk of hypoglycemia
Compatibility:
Suitable for combination with metformin, insulin, or other antidiabetic agents
Compatible with long-term diabetes management protocols
