Content / Composition:
Each delayed-release capsule contains:
* Esomeprazole …… 20 mg
* Enteric-coated pellets
* Excipients …… q.s.
Indications:
* Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)
* Mild to moderate heartburn
* Acid reflux symptoms
* Maintenance therapy of healed esophagitis
* Prevention of NSAID-induced ulcers
* H. pylori eradication (in combination therapy)
Dosage:
As directed by the physician
Adults:
* 20 mg once daily (standard dose)
* Maintenance therapy: 20 mg daily
H. pylori therapy:
* 20 mg twice daily with antibiotics
Contraindications:
* Hypersensitivity to esomeprazole or other PPIs
* Concomitant use with nelfinavir
Administration:
* Oral use
* Take before meals (preferably morning)
* Swallow whole; do not crush or chew
* Capsule may be opened and mixed with water if needed
Interaction:
May interact with:
* Clopidogrel (reduced efficacy)
* Warfarin
* Diazepam
* Phenytoin
May reduce absorption of:
* Iron salts
* Ketoconazole
Compatibility:
* Compatible with antibiotics (H. pylori therapy)
* Can be used with antacids (short-term relief)

Vitamin B12 deficiency
Hypomagnesemia
