Content / Composition:
Each 5 ml contains:
* Cyproheptadine Hydrochloride …… 2 mg (standard concentration)
* Flavoured Syrup Base …… q.s.
Indications:
* Allergic rhinitis (seasonal & perennial)
* Urticaria (hives)
* Allergic skin disorders
* Appetite stimulation
* Underweight / anorexia
* Migraine prophylaxis (off-label use)
Dosage:
As directed by the physician
Adults:
* 4 mg (10 ml) 2–3 times daily
Children (2–6 years):
* 2 mg (5 ml) 2–3 times daily
Children (7–14 years):
* 4 mg (10 ml) 2–3 times daily
⚠️ Maximum dose should not be exceeded
Contraindications:
* Hypersensitivity to cyproheptadine
* Newborn or premature infants
* Narrow-angle glaucoma
* Peptic ulcer with obstruction
* Severe hypertension
Administration:
* For oral use only
* Can be taken with or without food
* Use measuring cup/spoon for accurate dosing
Interaction:
* CNS depressants (sedatives, alcohol) → increased drowsiness
* MAO inhibitors → prolonged and intensified effects
* Anticholinergic drugs → enhanced side effects
* Antidepressants → additive sedation

* Protect from light
