Content / Composition:
Each delayed-release capsule contains:
* Lansoprazole …… 30 mg
* Enteric-coated granules
* Excipients …… q.s.
Indications:
* Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)
* Heartburn & acid reflux
* Gastric & duodenal ulcers
* NSAID-induced ulcers
* Zollinger–Ellison syndrome
* H. pylori eradication (in combination therapy)
Dosage:
As directed by the physician
Adults:
* 30 mg once daily (standard dose)
* In severe cases: 30 mg twice daily (if prescribed)
H. pylori regimen:
* In combination with antibiotics (triple therapy)
Contraindications:
* Hypersensitivity to lansoprazole or other PPIs
* Caution in severe hepatic impairment
Administration:
* Oral use
* Take before meals (preferably before breakfast)
* Swallow whole; do not crush or chew
Interaction:
May interact with:
* Warfarin (monitor INR)
* Theophylline
* Diazepam
May reduce absorption of:
* Ketoconazole
* Iron salts
Compatibility:
* Compatible with antibiotics (H. pylori therapy)
* Can be co-administered with antacids (short-term use)
